/>Sweet potatoes are in a different vegetable family than the white flesh potato. However, they can be used in exactly the same way.</p>
<p>They have significant health including being high in a number of vitamins, minerals and fibre. Unlike their white alternatives, they have less effect on blood sugar.</p>
<p>Sweet potatoes vary in size enormously. Weight-wise go for around 200 gms per person. Size wise use the same amount as you would for ordinary potatoes.</p>
<p>They also do not need pre-boiling before roasting and do not take long to cook.</p>
<p>Overall we would recommend including more sweet potatoes in place of the white variety as often as possible.</p>
